It’s almost time for the holidays!

Have you started thinking about throwing a party or having that Thanksgiving dinner at your house?

All it takes is a little planning and some great tips to pull it off.

Here are my top five ideas for this season

1) Pick a color scheme
Shades of purple and silver can be just as festive as the traditional red and green. Use the colors thru out your decor from the tree to the dining table and you’ll be a star

2) Exciting Holiday Foods
Latest trend is to host a cocktail party with appetizers from around the world. It could be Italian, Spanish, Greek, etc. Select your favorites

3) Homemade Gifts
Everyone will truly treasure something that you’ve made by hand. Ornaments, a handmade card, exceptional cookies are just some options

4) Bring out the Good Stuff
This is the time to splurge and use your special china, uncork that special bottle of wine or champagne and celebrate with friends and family

5) Make a list
Plan for what you want to do this season. Keep things simple and elegant and what you can afford. It’s really about those special friendships and traditions.
